Short introduction

I am based in Cape Town, South Africa and have over 20 years of experience in development cooperation as an advisor, lecturer and project manager. While gender and development has been a cross-cutting issue for all this time, my focus is now on gender mainstreaming, gender analyses, prevention and solutions to gender-based violence as well as access to information and justice for the empowerment of women and girls. In my work, I apply a feminist and partner-led approach as well as the concepts of intersectionality and the importance of leaving no one behind (LNOB). I am particularly interested in long-term engagements and process orientated work but I am also available for short-term contracts to accompany, support and evaluate existing programmes and projects.
