Dr Julia Plessing

Short introduction

Julia is a social scientist, and gender and diversity expert with 15 years of experience in international development cooperation, especially in project and programme management, strategic planning, training and facilitation, capacity development, monitoring and evaluation, research as well as gender mainstreaming. Julia’s main thematic focus lies on good governance, democracy, political participation and civil society. Furthermore, Julia has conducted gender analyses and provided gender mainstreaming support in diverse focus areas such as gender based violence, youth health services, urban planning, water management, vocational training and energy. She is especially committed to intersectional approaches, anti-discrimination and the principle of “leaving no one behind”. Her passion is to assist projects and programmes to engage in evaluation and learning to improve programme design and implementation.
